It’s a pain in the ass trying to get ranked high in Google. But I found a way a while ago that gets you ranked pretty easily as long as you have an actual website.
This isn’t magical or some blog voodoo that will -trick- Google into thinking your site is worth a crap. But it WILL help you build a business online from the ground up with a ton of free traffic that will keep on coming to your site.

I’ve used this process several times. It’s awesome and it works.
BUT I have to say that it’s not 100% fool-proof and there are a ton of other factors that play into getting your site up on Google.
That being said, and all other things being equal, you’ll have a kick ass head start with this!

So once you have the domain (perhaps more than one?), would you 1) build the entire product around that name; 2) build a dedicated landing page/mini-site (perhaps more than one?) around that name, promoting the book which might have a different name; or 3) redirect that domain to the ‘master’ book landing page?
Any major advantages / disadvantages of those approaches?

Great question! I’ll tell you first what I WOULDN’T do. I definitely would NOT redirect it to another page. The Google Gods frown upon redirection. You’ll have to either:
A) Create the entire product around the keyword you choose to corner or
B) Create the website as your overall brand and create your products to sell on that site (recommended)
You’ll want a good overarching brand for your products online first. That will be like your Holy Grail for Internet Marketing. Then you’ll put a blog-type site on it with a few important elements of SEO taken care of. They are:
1) Quality Links Back to Your Home Page
2) Lots of Pages With Content on Them That All Talk About Related Subjects (In Google’s Eyes – I’ll outline how to find out what those are in another video)
3) Frequently Posted Content (so the Google Spider crawls your site more often)
I might be missing something here but that’s the gist of it. But MAKE SURE that you create a LOT of actual content that Google and real life everyday customers are going to want to see on your blog.
That’s the safest way to make sure that you are on track and you start your product on the right foot. I have some domains that are the exact keyword phrase and there is just a WordPress site up with the default posts (“Hello World” kind of thing) and sometimes they’ll STILL rank # 1 in Google just because no one is cornering that market.
Let me know how you do. If you want to create lots of content then use my system for creating a book (found here) and instead of formatting it, etc, just take each different topic and turn it into a blog post instead. It’s simple, cheap as hell, and all unique content related to your niche/product.
